The Marietta City Schools Board of Education has named Forrestella Taylor as principal of Marietta High School, starting next school year.

The Marietta Middle School principal will replace Leigh Colburn who is stepping down at Marietta High after 10 years to lead a new district graduation program. Marietta High has 1,962 students and is the district’s only high school. The board has also approved Gabriel Carmona, Marietta Sixth Grade Academy principal, to replace Taylor at Marietta Middle School.
