A tank and a tractor trailer came too close for the comfort of p.m. rush-hour commuters trapped behind them Tuesday afternoon.
Just before 5 p.m., a flatbed carrying a tank -- that of the armored, tracked, heavy-artillery shooting variety -- had to stop on the one-lane ramp from northbound I-285 to westbound I-20 behind a stalled long-hauler.
After more than 20 minutes, Georgia Department of Transportation H.E.R.O. crews were able to move the stalled truck and free up traffic.
