Take a walking tour of Marietta’s murals with a neat interactive map

If you’re a lover of public art with time and calories to burn, the city of Marietta has something for you.

The city's Geographic Information System (GIS) team of online mapmakers created an interactive tool to tour 20 downtown Marietta murals.

You can check it out here. It should work on any device with a web browser.

The art installations came to downtown during the M2R (Mountain To River) Trailfest in April.

The Cobb County GIS team put together a similar map this time last time of breweries and distilleries around Cobb.

Between alcohol and public art, it seems that GIS teams have their priorities in order.
