Fixed! DeKalb County
Earlier this month, we told you about Susan Widamayer’s issue with a hole on Woodwardia Way.
“I wanted you to know how stunned I was to come home from work today to see that our road hole had been repaired only two days after having appeared in the AJC. It is so wonderful to travel up the street without transitioning fully into the ongoing side!
You and your team are great and I wanted you to know how much I—and likely all the neighbors—appreciate your expedient work on repairing this hazard,” she wrote.

In October, we told you about David Jenkins’ issue with metal plates in his neighborhood.
“There are two large metal plates on Walker Terrace, NE in Ansley Park that have for months covered holes in the street. Despite repeated attempts from residents and neighbors, nothing has been done to repair the street and remove the metal plates. We are afraid the city has forgotten about this problem, is ignoring our contacts and pleas for help, and doesn’t care about leaving metal plates on city streets for months – or years,” Jenkins wrote.
We learned from Jenkins the area had been fixed.

Elizabeth Ellis is upset over debris in the West End.
“I am concerned about a large pile of debris (old sofas, boards, boxes) left in front of a house in the West End months ago. The city hasn’t picked it up, and it is quite an eyesore. The house is at the corner of Ralph D. Abernathy and Atwood,” she wrote.
We sent the issue to the city.
