Richelle Weinstock is perturbed over a poorly-timed traffic signal and soon hopes it will be smoother sailing along a busy road.

“Traveling east on North Druid Hills Road and needing to turn left onto northbound Clairmont Road is a five second nightmare. That’s how long the left turn signal stays lit allowing, at most, five cars thorough the intersection. This needs to be increased a few more seconds as the first driver frequently doesn’t move when the light changes backing up the left turn lane,” she wrote. We sent her concerns over the quickly-changing light to DeKalb County and will let you know the outcome.

Jane Mohler is tired of hitting the holes when she’s on her way to see the splendor of nature.

“We drive on Cheshire Bridge from LaVista Road to Piedmont to reach the Botanical Garden. Cheshire Bridge is in terrible condition with deep potholes. Please help us get it re-paved,” she asked.

This is not the first request we’ve received about Cheshire Bridge Road, so we sent her request to the city and will let you know when those pesky potholes are patched.

A reader hopes something can be done about a pothole that just won’t stay fixed.

“On Chrysler Drive heading south just across Briarcliff Road, (the) old nonfunctional stoplight trip needs to be removed before fixing the hole again. (Each) trip can give just enough allowing asphalt to sink and crack requiring another repair. (It) has sharp edges and is about four to five inches deep. Thanks for your help,” wrote the distressed reader.

We sent the information to DeKalb County and will let you know when that pothole is fixed again…hopefully for a long time.
