New item-DeKalb County

A reader in DeKalb County is concerned about two new potholes that cause issues for drivers on Stratmor Drive in Tucker.

“The picture is of one actually fixed a year or two ago. Three to four years ago, the county came out with a man and a spray can and marked parts of the road that needed patch work,” the reader wrote and said the areas actually covered a majority of the street.

“I talked with the guy doing the spraying and he told me about the future plans. They never came out to repave, and the paint marks have long ago disappeared. The entire street needs repaving, and has since before the guy and the spray can,” the reader added.

We sent the item to DeKalb County and will keep you updated.

New item-DeKalb County

David McGaughey wants something done about a road in DeKalb County that is littered with potholes and is a driving hazard.

“I have emailed DeKalb County several times, but nothing seems to happen. About three to four years ago, the county repaired Rosser Road from the DeKalb line to Hugh Howell Road. The problem is all the potholes that were there before the resurface have now reappeared,” McGaughey said. He added that most of the potholes are between Oxbow Road and Rosser Place and hopes something can be done about the issue quickly.

We sent the item to DeKalb County and let you know when the potholes are filled.

Fixed!-Atlanta

In late February, we told you about Toni Adler’s concern over a large metal plate.

“There is a large metal plate at the intersection of Nancy Creek Road and West Wesley Road that has been there for about five weeks and it is terrible. (It) feels very bad when driving over it and I don’t understand why they have not fixed the problem,” Adler wrote.

We learned from city officials that the plate has been removed.
