SWAT team sent to southwest Atlanta apartment
The Atlanta police SWAT team was called to an apartment in southwest Atlanta Friday morning following a shooting in West End.
According to police dispatchers, the victim, who had been shot in the leg, was found shortly before 7 a.m. in the 1200 block of Donnelly Avenue.
A suspect in the shooting was believed to still be inside a nearby apartment around 10:30.
Police had blocked Donnelly Avenue between Cascade Road and Beecher Street.
