The Suwanee Police Department has received a $10,000 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. According to Suwanee Capt. Cass Mooney, the funds will be used to purchase light detection and ranging speed detection devices, crash investigation equipment, and signage to be used during DUI/safety check points.

“We’re eligible for this grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety based on our participation in programming throughout the year,” says Mooney. “The grant enables us to purchase equipment that will be used to enhance the safety of Suwanee’s roadways.”
