Mark your calendars for a rain or shine special event in Suwanee. The city will recreate a massive aerial community photo at 2 p.m. March 10 in Town Center Park. The event will commemorate the first ‘S’ photo which celebrated the opening of City Hall on March 29, 2009.

The first 2,000 who register to participate will receive a keepsake Suwanee cape to wear in the photo. The city is also encouraging superhero costumes for the 10th anniversary photo. Register at www.suwanee.com.

“The original photo, as well as a list of all 1,044 participants, hangs proudly in City Hall,” said City of Suwanee Events & Outreach Manager Amy Doherty. “We thought a tenth anniversary photo would be a great way to celebrate, as well as allow our newer citizens to leave their mark on the community as well.”

“Now I’m a work of art!” commented one of the original participants.
