Due to recent changes in state law, the Suwanee City Council voted recently to approve changes to the city’s municipal court fees. Fees associated with failure to appear have been removed, but are replaced with contempt of court fees after 30 days of original court date, per defendant of $75. Fees for warrants will increase from $125 to $200.

Remaining court fees associated with documents, copies or publications remain the same. Certified copies of a citation are $5; record restrictions are $25; and a copy of a CD is $10.

The municipal court is authorized to collect fees with the intent of defraying the cost of operating the court.
