Doug Ireland, a Suwanee business owner and Gwinnett Chamber member, has announced that he plans to run for the Suwanee City Council seat being vacated by Jimmy Burnette.
Ireland, 38, is a member of the city’s planning and zoning board, Vision 20/20 steering committee and Day Planning Committee.
A resident of Suwanee for the past eight years, Suwanee owns Freeland Painting & Construction. He is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in marketing, distribution management and international business.
