An SUV crossed into oncoming traffic and struck an ambulance Friday in north Hall County, injuring a child and three other people, the Georgia State Patrol said.

Both vehicles overturned multiple times, the GSP said.

Sherri Bruce, 37, of Cleveland, was traveling northbound in a Ford Expedition on Ga. 11, the GSP said. Zachery Vaughn, 26, was driving southbound in the ambulance.

Bruce, who had a juvenile in her SUV, veered off the east shoulder of the road and overcorrected, crossing the center line, the GSP said. The SUV struck the ambulance in the driver’s side. After it overturned, the ambulance came to rest on its top.

All those in the incident were taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Information on injuries was not available.
