Clayton County police are searching for a second suspect in the shooting death of a cab driver last month.

Julius Ryan Thomas, 20, was charged Tuesday with felony murder, false statements and conspiracy to commit armed robbery in connection with the killing of Rosendo Casarrubias, who was found dead in his cab near Riverdale, said police spokeswoman Danielle Rosa.

Thomas is believed to have fled the state, Rosa said.

Another suspect, Desmond Brandon Nixon, 22, was arrested Feb. 2 and charged with murder, aggravated assault, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, false statements, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, Rosa said. He is being held without bond in the Clayton County jail.

Officers responded to a report of a person down at the Brookview Village condos off Roberts Drive near Riverdale on Jan. 25 and found Casarrubias with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
