A “suspected round of ammunition” delayed a Monday night flight from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport to Paris for nearly three hours, officials said.

Delta Air Lines spokeswoman Morgan Durrant said in an email that the delay of two hours and 57 minutes came after the suspected ammunition was found “in the seating area adjacent to the boarding gate.”

“In concert with the Transportation Security Administration, the decision was made to have customers and the aircraft rescreened before it departed at 2:46 a.m.,” Durrant said.
