Police released details Tuesday of a suspect sought in the hit-and-run death of a Cartersville woman.

The suspect is thought to drive a dark blue four-door sedan, Gordy Wright of the Georgia State Patrol said.

Christina Mae Warner, 27, was hit and killed while walking along Highway 41 shortly after midnight on Jan. 15, according to the GSP’s incident report.

Warner was struck by the first vehicle that fled the scene. Warner was then struck by another motorist who stopped and called police, authorities said.

“There is a lot of hurt, a lot of questions,” Warner’s mother, Elissa Cochran, told Channel 2 Action News. “We need to know, even if this was an accident, somebody knows they hit something in the road down there.”
