Police have named a suspect in connection with the death of a Gwinnett County man whose body was found in Atlanta.

Diego Rojo Ramirez, 23, was reported missing the evening of Aug. 17, about the same time Gwinnett County police responded to a report of gunshots and screaming at an address on Buford Highway in unincorporated Doraville, police said.

Ramirez’s body was found the next morning in northwest Atlanta, police said, and authorities were later able to identify him.

On Tuesday, Gwinnett County police said investigators had obtained an arrest warrant for Carlos Garcia-Viera, 39, on charges of aggravated assault and felony murder.

Investigators are considering Garcia-Viera armed and dangerous and ask that anyone with information on his whereabouts contact the Gwinnett County Police Department homicide unit at 770-513-5300, or Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477.

The investigation is ongoing.
