Police in Griffin have identified a suspect in Sunday's early morning killing of a 22-year-old man.

Donald Driver was found in the street outside the residence at 215 W. Quilly St. with gun and knife wounds. He was pronounced dead at Spalding Regional Hospital.

The Griffin Police Department issued a statement Wednesday seeking the public's help in finding Devarryl Jacobie Batten in connection with the slaying. The 23-year-old, who goes by "Chico," is considered armed and dangerous, according to the statement.

Driver had been drinking alcohol, according to a police report obtained by the AJC on Wednesday. The report said drugs also played a role in the murder, which it said occurred just after midnight.

Investigator Bryan Clanton said Sunday that the dispute allegedly involved a "small amount" of money.
