A Delaware man was booked into Cobb County jail Saturday on a felony murder charge, jail records show.

Alton George is accused of shooting two men at a Marietta office building the night of Dec. 15.

Police found 27-year-old Lakief Y'anray Evelyn, of Lithonia, and Randolph Marks, both with gunshot wounds, in a car at an Exxon on Delk Road about two miles away from The Exchange, the AJC previously reported.

They were taken to WellStar Kennestone Hospital, where Evelyn died.

Cobb police have not released a motive and declined to release one when asked Monday.

Media reports from Delaware say that U.S. Marshals arrested 43-year-old George in late March after Georgia authorities relayed a tip that he'd fled to the Middletown, Delaware, area. Agents conducted surveillance for a while before arresting him near his home March 22.

The six-week delay in getting George back to Georgia is because he had been fighting extradition, said Cobb police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce.

George is being held without bond.
