Suspect arrested in Monday night slaying

Atlanta police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting.

Darterius Adams was found shot in the leg and back just before midnight Monday near the intersection of Sylvan Road and Astor Avenue in southwest Atlanta, police spokeswoman Kim Jones said.

Adams died Tuesday at Grady Memorial Hospital.

On Tuesday, investigators secured warrants for Horace Manson, charging the 24-year-old man with murder, felony murder and aggravated assault, Jones said.

She said Manson was arrested Wednesday and taken to the Fulton County Jail, where he is being held without bond.
