Police on Friday arrested a man suspecting of robbing a Wachovia Bank in Marietta.

Bennie Isaiah McCormick was arrested without incident by Marietta police and the Cobb County Sheriff’s Fugitive Unit, said Jenny Murphy, spokeswoman for Marietta police. He will be booked into the Cobb County Jail on robbery charges, Murphy said.

According to investigators, McCormick went into the bank at 827 Church Street around 3:15 p.m. Thursday and handed one of the tellers a note that demanded money.

McCormick took the money and ran away, investigators said,
