A suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a man outside a northwest Atlanta apartment building in June, Atlanta police said Monday.

Michael C. Rollins, 34, was arrested Thursday and charged with felony murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault in the death of 27-year-old Whitney Wesley, police said.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired around 2:30 p.m. June 13 at the Gables apartments in the 800 block of West Marietta Street. There, they found an unresponsive man in a breezeway. He had been shot multiple times and was dead at the scene.

A preliminary investigation indicated the door of an apartment had been forced open, and Wesley may have been shot during a dispute.

Rollins remains in Fulton County Jail. He is being held without bond, according to jail records.
