A mostly sunny, but cool and breezy, start to Sunday was expected to warm to a high near 80 degrees.

Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brain Monahan said the forecast through the week includes a warming trend with an expected high of 90 degrees on Thursday.

The wet weather and scattered thunderstorms that forced rescheduling of graduation and other outdoor events last week has ended.

The partly cloudy skies aren’t threatening rain, either.

Monday’s low of 58 degrees is the last time this week metro Atlanta residents should expect to start the day below 60 degrees, Monahan said.

So, make plans to get outside this week and enjoy the weather!
