Suniva solar installation to power Kennesaw visitor center

Solar cell and module manufacturer Suniva, Inc. is installing rooftop solar modules to power the visitor center at Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield Park in Marietta.

The solar power produced will offset the air conditioning unit in the visitor’s center of the national park that has more than 1.4 million annual visitors. The solar installation is intended to promote the park’s commitment to the environment. A dedication ceremony a the park is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 19 at 10 a.m.

Suniva announced the Kennesaw project in conjunction with the completion of a rooftop solar array at US Floors in Dalton, which is the largest single solar installation in Georgia.
