The Roswell City Council has renamed the Warsaw Road Extension for the street it now connects with, Sun Valley Drive — reflecting the recent completion of the through street from Alpharetta Highway (Ga. 9) to Mansell Road.

Roswell Transportation Director Steven D. Acenbrak requested the name change, citing the city’s street naming policy that “continuous roadways shall not be subdivided into segments with different names.”

The change applies to the Warsaw Extension from Mansell to Timber Creek Parkway and Finchley Drive. Three adjacent property owners were notified of the name change request, but their addresses were not affected; a fourth property owner affected by the change “is in full agreement with the proposal,” according to a staff report to the council.
