It’s open, but the wheels aren’t turning, yet.

The Sun Dial Restaurant opened Saturday night after a post-tornado renovation.

The restaurant, which sits on top of the landmark Westin Peachtree Plaza, closed late last year to allow workers to replace windows that were damaged by the March 2008 tornado.

It also got a face lift: new flooring and fresh paint.

While cleaning up the tri-level dining destination, workers discovered that the wheels that keep it rotating 360 degrees were worn. They haven't been replaced yet, but restaurant officials have said they expect that to happen by the middle of the month – otherwise known as Valentine’s Day.
