Following an opportunity for public comments, the Snellville City Council voted unanimously Monday to approve Summit Chase Country Club’s request to annex land into the city. The 1-acre in question is the current site of the country club’s clubhouse.

During the mid-80s Summit Chase had requested its clubhouse be de-annexed so it could serve liquor by the drink. Over the years, this created some confusion when the county responded to calls in the clubhouse, while the city handled calls generated in the parking lot. By approving re-annexation into the city, all of Summit Chase can now be serviced by the city without confusion.
