Sugar Hill sidewalk project moving to Suwanee Dam Road

Construction on sidewalks in Sugar Hill has shifted from Whitehead Road to Suwanee Dam Road. Work has begun on Suwanee Dam Road near the entrance to Laurel Park subdivision heading south to Barrington Estates.

The Whitehead Road portion of the project still needs handrail completion and one or two replacement sections of concrete before this part of the contract is complete. There is a short segment north of Sugar Ridge that will need to be completed once the county repairs a stormwater culvert. Work on this section is expected this spring.

Both pedestrian projects are paid for using SPLOST funds.
