Sugar Hill will participate in a community rocket launch to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon mission on July 16. The U.S. Space and Rocket Center and Space Camp in Huntsville, Alabama, is sponsoring a Global Rocket Launch. Model rockets will be launched all over the world 50 years from the day Apollo 11 launched to the moon and first landed humans there.

Sugar Hill will take a part in the event and provide citizens with an opportunity to learn more about Apollo 11’s historic launch and the milestones that paved the way for the first lunar landing.

Sugar Hill's Eagle Theatre will also offer a special showing of the film 'Apollo 11' at 3 p.m. July 16. Additional details to come at www.cityofsugarhill.com/rocketlaunch.
