Subaru makes $1 million-plus donation to Habitat

March 17, 2010Habitat for Humanity International has received more than $1 million from Subaru of America Inc.
The donation was through the automaker's "Share the Love" campaign. Habitat was one of five nonprofits that Subaru customers, who bought or leased vehicles from Nov. 21, 2009 to Jan. 4, 2010, could select to receive a $250 donation.
Last year, Habitat received just under $1 million through the campaign.
Over the last two years, nearly $10 million has been donated to Share the Love charities. Other nonprofit organizations that benefited during that period included the Meals on Wheels Association of America, the National Wildlife Federation and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
