Four Gwinnett County cities have landed in SmartAsset’s top 10 places to retire in Georgia.

Snellville ranks highest on the list, placing fifth. Lawrenceville, Lilburn and Suwanee placed eighth, ninth and tenth.

The personal finance website determined the list by calculating the number of doctors’ offices, retirement centers and recreation centers per 1,000 residents, along with the tax rate and the percentage of seniors in each city. Those numbers helped form SmartAsset’s “Best Place to Retire” index.

Cumming, in Forsyth County, earned the top spot with a Best Place to Retire index of 90.49, more than 47 points ahead of the second-placing city, Decatur. Snellville's score was 35.59. You can see the entire report here.
