Residents of Johns Creek have another thing to brag about.
The website 247wallst.com — a site that bills itself as a place for "insightful analysis and commentary for U.S. and global equity investors" — recently compiled various data and ranked the "best American cities to live in."
Johns Creek, incorporated in 2006, ranks as fourth on the list. It ranks just behind Carmel, Indiana; Centennial, Colorado; and Arvada, Colorado.

247wallst.com’s list is based on data from nine categories. The site looked at each city’s crime, demography, economy, education, environment, health, housing, infrastructure and leisure. These categories, the site says, represent “a few examples of universally desirable attributes in any community.”
Johns Creek, for example, has a median home value of $372,000, a poverty rate of 4.9 percent, and 63 percent of people in the city have a bachelor’s degree, according to the study.
On Johns Creek, the site wrote: “High schoolers in the Atlanta-region city also have the highest average test scores of any city in Georgia. People living in Johns Creek also have access to a large number of amenities in the area. The city has one of the highest concentrations of restaurants, recreational centers, and movie theaters in the United States.”
Johns Creek is the only Georgia city on the list, which features 50 across the country.
