Student ID’d after suspected DUI crash that knocked out power to college

The Clarkston High School student who crashed in front of Georgia Piedmont Technical College on Monday was arrested on DUI and failure to maintain lane charges, police said.

Ali Salah, 19, crashed after hitting a power pole, knocking out power to the campus as well as Clarkston High, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution previously reported.

Salah was arrested after downed power lines were removed from his car.

No one was injured in the crash.

Salah has not been booked through the DeKalb County jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
