Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue across the metro area this afternoon and evening, bringing a quarter- to a half-inch of rain, forecasters say.

Saturday night's round of storms included lightning, small hail and gusty winds.

We can expect more of the same in metro Atlanta through at least Tuesday, according to WSB-TV meteorologist Brad Nitz.

"We'll be in this pattern for several days," Nitz said. "With the heating of the afternoon, showers and thunderstorms will develop."

The high temperature will reach 80 degrees Sunday, 82 on Monday and Tuesday, he said.

Storms that rolled through the metro area Friday night caused power outages and big delays at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. Saturday night's storms did not cause major damage.
