Stone Mountain 5K returns

Stone Mountain is teaming up with three local schools to again host a joint 5K later this weekend.

The Granite Grasshopper 5K and Fun Run will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday in historic Stone Mountain Village and loop into Stone Mountain Park. Proceeds benefit Stone Mountain Elementary, Champion Theme Middle and Stone Mountain High schools.

Registration, which is $25, is available online at www.stonemountainvillage.com.
