A Stone Mountain grandfather may be visiting Northlake Mall more often now, after winning a $619,000 Georgia lottery jackpot there.

Curtis Alligood, 81, matched all five winning numbers from the July 31 Fantasy 5 drawing to win the jackpot. Those numbers were: 3-15-20-24-28.

Alligood bought his winning Quik Pik ticket at the Sun Newsstand inside the Northlake Mall, 4800 Briarcliff Road N.E. in Atlanta.

Alligood, 81, said he called the Georgia Lottery’s Player Information hot line after the televised drawing and wrote the numbers down.

“I was in disbelief,” he said. “I told my wife, and she was surprised.”

Retired 28 years from the Air Force, Alligood has two children and two grandchildren with his wife. The couple have no plans at the moment for their winnings.
