The home of a DeKalb County teacher caught fire Tuesday morning.

DeKkalb County firefighters clean up after battling a blaze at the home of a longtime Stone Mountain woman. The homeowner, Virginia Seeley, said she raised her four children in the home. She smelled smoke before 7 a.m.

Virginia Seeley was beside herself as her home caught was on fire Tuesday morning. Neighbors and co-workers were pulling together to help her.

DeKalb County firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to nearby adjacent homes and confined the fire to the attic.
