The Stone Mountain Historic Soceity is launching a new monthly open house to focus on its work.

The first Third Thursday event will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wells Brown House, 1036 Ridge Ave., and features the society’s research collection.

Wine, punch and snacks will be provided for the event, which also includes a tour of the house. Cost for the event is $10.
