Stockbridge council swears in members, makes appointments for 2020

The Stockbridge City Council convened for its first meeting of 2020.
The Stockbridge City Council began 2020 by swearing in council members Elton Alexander, Yolanda Barber and John Blount at its Jan. 13 regular meeting.
Alexander and Blount won second terms in November while Barber is beginning her first term. Alphonso Thomas was appointed mayor pro tem, and the council reappointed city attorney Michael Williams as well as Municipal Court judge Matthew McCord. The council convened in a special called meeting before the regular meeting, with the only agenda item listed as executive session for personnel discussions.
