The Stockbridge City Council voted at a Nov. 19 special called meeting to end its investigation of Mayor Tim Thompson. The action came after about an hour in executive session, and there was no public discussion at the meeting except to explain that investigator Phil Friduss declined to present his findings in person.

The council members issued a Nov. 20 press release stating that there were a number of important omissions in Friduss’ premlinary report issued in August, claiming it was “clearly the opinion of Mr. Friduss with the appearance of being compromised.”

The report is now available to the public via open records request.
