Two people who were critically injured in an accident Sunday that resulted in an overturned vehicle are still hospitalized Wednesday. The single-vehicle accident occurred at Mt. Calvary Road and Dallas Highway around 7 p.m.

Thomas Angsten, 59, was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital and was listed in serious condition. A 10-year-old passenger -- whose name was not released -- was taken to Scottish Rite Hospital in critical condition, according to Joseph Hernandez, spokesman for Cobb County police.

Angsten and the juvenile were traveling northbound along Mt. Calvary Road in a white 2008 Pontiac Solstice when he made a right turn and lost control of the car.

He then continued onto the left side of the road and through a drainage ditch before crashing into a tree. The vehicle rolled over.
