Helen Odom Rice, the board member from the Third Congressional District at the Georgia Department of Education, will host a public hearing 7-8 p.m. on April 30 at the Whitewater High School Media Center, 100 Wildcat Way in Fayetteville.

The purpose of the meeting is to allow district residents and educators to offer comments regarding the performance of public education, and note any problems observed within the system. Rice is a teacher who has worked in elementary and high schools throughout the state.

Those wishing to speak should sign in upon arrival, and anyone needing assistance or auxiliary aids for participation should contact Debbie Caputo at 404-657-7410 at least 72 hours before the event.
