The Georgia Board of Education will meet at 10 a.m. on Aug. 1 to vote on a successor for the failed Peachtree Hope Charter School in DeKalb County, which collapsed after a split with its private management company.

Ivy Preparatory Academy, an all-girls school in Gwinnett County, wants two more state charters so it can open campuses for girls and boys in the Memorial Drive building that Peachtree Hope occupied.

The meeting is via conference call in the State Board Room, 2070 Twin Towers East,  205 Jesse Hill Jr. Dr. SE Atlanta. Information: 404-657-7410.
