State Board of Education upholds no vote on charter schools

Action: The state board of education upheld the denial of two Georgia charter schools, David T. Howard Math and Science Academy and Scholars Academy State Charter School. The Howard school was denied because of issues over paperwork, and because portions of the petition did not meet state standards, according to the Georgia Charter Schools Commission. Scholars Academy was denied because much of the petition was incomplete.
