The state is again seeking public input on how to move forward to improve travel conditions on Interstate 285’s top end.
The state Department of Transportation and Georgia Regional Transportation Authority have been working since 2006 to develop solutions for traffic on I-285 between Interstates 75 and 85 in northern DeKalb and Fulton counties.
The teams, with public input, have come up with eight possible solutions: transportation system management, bus rapid transit, managed lanes, light rail, operational improvements, express bus, toll lanes and doing nothing.
