Peachtree City is accepting applications for a vacancy on its Water & Sewerage Authority. The five-member board meets at 6:30 p.m. on the first Monday of each month to oversee the publicly owned utility, which is charged with the collection and treatment of public, commercial and industrial wastewater.

The sewer system infrastructure consists of two wastewater treatment plans, 35 pump stations and nearly 200 miles of lines. Applicants are appointed to five-year terms and must have lived in Peachtree City for at least six months.

The deadline to apply is Dec. 8; see http://peachtree-city.org/DocumentCenter/Home/View/10762 or contact Debbie Lemay at 770-632-4260.
