The Cherokee County Animal Shelter has put out the word that it’s running out of room for cats and needs to find permanent homes for dozens.

The shelter, at 1015 Univeter Road, Canton, has more than 40 felines available for immediate adoption, and all adult cats – animals at least six months old – are free to adopt, according to a Facebook announcement.

Adoption hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. Available pets can be viewed at: https://bit.ly/2lt7yQR

Adoptions include initial vaccinations, spaying/neutering, microchipping, deworming, flea and tick treatment, heartworm or FELV/FIV testing, a free sample bag of food and other services. Information: https://bit.ly/2mBQkAV
