Women interested in home building and giving back to their community can help Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity repair senior houses in Clayton, Henry and Fayette beginning this weekend.

The group is looking for volunteers to sign up for the 2019 Women Build, a national program of women building affordable housing in their communities. This year’s event will be held Saturday, May 10 and May 18 in the three counties.

“We believe in providing a space for women to meet like-minded peers and create lasting memories,” said Southern Crescent Habitat volunteer coordinator Kiera Dunn. “I encourage women of all ages to join our ambassadors, sponsors, and the Southern Crescent family in helping our senior community with home repairs during this year’s Women Build.”

Volunteers can participate by signing up at www.schabitat.org/womenbuild for either the morning or afternoon crew on select dates.
