South River cleanup scheduled for Saturday

The South River Watershed Alliance will host four cleanups of the South River on Saturday in south DeKalb.

Volunteers are needed to help remove trash and debris from the river and its banks.

Crews will work from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at four sites: the river at Fleetwood Drive in Constitution Lakes, the river at the intersection of Panola and Snapfinger roads; the Panthersville Road river crossing at Georgia Perimeter College and the river south of Flat Shoals and Waldrop Roads.
