A business group focused on the promotion of development around Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport will begin this week a series of online discussions about a proposed trail system to connect miles of south metro Atlanta.

Aerotropolis Atlanta will kick off on Tuesday virtual town halls on what is being called the AeroATL Model Mile. AeroATL Model Mile will connect seven southside municipalities through a series of trails, including East Point, Hapeville, Union City and South Fulton and Clayton counties.

First up will be an online town hall for the city of South Fulton from 2 p.m.-3 p.m on Tuesday. Interested participants should visit Aerotropolis' website, aeroatl.org, to join.

Six other meetings are planned through April 28 to give other communities in the plan a chance to discuss how they fit in, including the city of Atlanta on April 22 and Forest Park in Clayton County on April 28. Dates for each meeting also are at aeroatl.org.
