Wonderland Gardens will lead a special event later this month to kick off a yearlong effort to promote better nutrition.

The nonprofit garden on Rainbow Drive in Decatur will hold monthly programs, including a weight-loss program and sessions on how people can grow their own vegetables, at its offices and the Gallery at South DeKalb Mall on Candler Road.

The first program will focus on locally grown produce and regular exercise. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Jan. 23 at the mall.

All programs are free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.wonderlandgardens.org.
